Jonathan Frid Transformed the Vampire
This intriguing article not only honors the original Barnabas, actor Jonathan Frid, but also tackles how the portrayal of Barnabas on Dark Shadows opened new possibilities for vampire characters.
Portrait of Depp’s Barnabas courtesy of my friend Christa, who is an absolutely amazing artist and fantasy writer. You can see more of her work on her deviantArt page; just click on the picture.

Lionsgate Will Film More ‘Twilight’ if Stephenie Meyer Writes a Fifth Book | /Film

ifitwalkslikeavampire:

thoughts?

Hm. If it’s something different — say they wanted to do something from Carlisle’s backstory involving the Volturi — that might be… interesting. I respect Lionsgate’s position because a.) they need to pay people and these movies make money and b.) if Meyer did want to write more Twilight books, she is probably legally prohibited from letting any other company buy the movie rights — hence, if she wrote a fifth book and Lionsgate just sat on their hands, she’d be stuck. Nice of the company to show that support for an author, which probably doesn’t happen that often.

Filed under twilight movies it should be the norm but it's not the volturi are the best thing about twilight
